President's Message

Hello,

Welcome to the Hearing Loss Association of Snohomish County. We are so glad you have come to our website. We invite you to come to our General Meetings. We want you to feel at home here and comfortable. We under-stand the difficulties that people face who do not hear well, because we are also hearing impaired. While there are many causes of hearing loss, the frustration of not understanding is the same for all of us. We offer you our friendship, support and encouragement.

It is our hope that in this chapter, you will find new coping strengths and ideas. We are so fortunate, because at this time there are so many new technologies that can help us. We can learn together about these wonderful new types of equipment and procedures that can enable us to better understand and communicate with others. We share information, without endorsing specific products, to help all of us make better individual decisions, for improving our comprehension of the many sounds in our world. We strive to educate, so all of us can make wise choices, based on our unique set of individual needs.

Our chapter is proud to be affiliated with the Hearing Loss Association of America, the nation’s foremost membership and advocacy organization for people with hearing loss. “Hearing loss is a daily challenge you can overcome. You do not have to hide your hearing loss. You do not have to face hearing loss alone.”
